Who is Arvind Kejriwal?
Arvind Kejriwal is the 7th and the current Chief Minister of the nation’s capital state; Delhi. The 56
year old politician, is also an activist and has also previously remained a bureaucrat before joining in
office. This extremely vociferous National Convenor of the AAM ADMI PARTY has been in possession
of the office as the chief minister of Delhi since the year 2015. For his benevolent activisms and
contributions. Kejriwal was successful to bag the Ramon Magsaysay Awards in the year 2006 for his
contributions towards the Parivartan movement that aimed to combat against corruption in the
government sectors and campaigned to improve the situation. Apart from his achievements and
contributions in the political arena, Kejriwal also harbors immaculately smooth records in terms of
his education qualifications, as he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
Kejriwal’s fickle approach towards political responsibilities
Even though the epitome of the opposition party’s mascot that swears by the official emblem of the
party, that is the ‘broom’ a very common household item that is supposed to represent the middle
class sentiment, toils around the Marxist mentality of swaying the public. This is because, most
politicians tend to imbue an extremely lavish lifestyle with immensely wealthy vehicles and other
materialistic assets, Kejriwal dons in a predominantly opportunistic lifestyle that emphasises his
‘forced’ resonance with the masses that tangentially resemble the middle class sections of the
society. Even though his works and contributions are commendable, Kejriwal has been under the
radar for his fluctuations in terms of handling his responsibilities.
For instance, Arvind Kejriwal did join in office as the Chief Minister of Delhi in the year 2013, but
resigned just after a short period of 49 days, due to the failure in his part that aimed in mobilising
support towards the anti corruption allegations. For any politician holding office this abrupt decision
to resign from post does not hold much appreciation that might hint onto their tainted calibre in
terms of their ability to acknowledge their responsibilities, be it in politics or elsewhere.
Allegations against Arvind Kejriwal
Kejriwal’s arrest is not the only case in which he has been accused of being involved with something.
He had, previously also been charged with numerous allegations. For instance; Kejriwal has been
accused with numerous defamation charges against him previously. The defamation however came
right after Kejriwal took it upon himself to put out a list that entailed the most corrupted politicians
in which Kejriwal enlisted Nitin Gadkari without any verified sources. Even though Kejriwal had to
later apologise for not being efficient in his research he did provide evidence of his incumbency in his
calibre.
However, this wasn’t the only time a defamation case was filed against him because just after two
years, in 2016, Kejriwal again took it upon himself to file a case on the basis of unverified sources
against Bikram Majithia. For which Kejriwal had to again, issue a public apology towards Majithia for
the same.
The 3rd defamation case was filed against Kejriwal in the year 2016, by Arun Jaitley of 10 crores. .
Similar to the above mentioned reasons, Arvind Kejriwal seems to be on a path towards justifying his
ludicrous claims without any evidence that actually supports his claims towards all these ministers.
One might tend to believe that Kejriwal has done more loss than good to his image by pulling off
such stunts that have been continuously hampering his public image. Kejriwal fired his claims against
Arun Jaitley highlighting Jaitley due to his irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (
DDCA) and put forth their remarks against the Cricket Body of their irregularities in functionality and
finances.

For most Indian State governments, the arena of Liquor Shops in a catalyst for bringing in huge sums
of cash profits and revenue for the state. Kejriwal’s government introduced a new Liquor Policy in the
year 2021 which gave a free passage and absolute allowance for private players to open liquor stores
in the state. But this development is substantially ironical because of the fact that, at the same time,
government liquor shops were shut down. This particular execution was twofold, one to enhance
and improve customer experience and two, to generate more revenue. All was going well as Delhi
witnessed a 27% rise in revenue from liquor but soon Delhi’s top bureaucrats flagged issues with the
