APSC CCE Mains Syllabus 2023 and Exam Pattern: The APSC has released the complete syllabus for the 2023 Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) along with the official recruitment notification. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to start their preparation without delay and thoroughly understand the APSC CCE Syllabus 2023 and exam format.
The selection process will be rigorous, consisting of a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an in-person interview.
This year, there have been changes to the main exam pattern. The optional papers have been removed, and now the main exam will carry a total of 1775 marks instead of the previous 2275 marks. Aspirants should review the entire syllabus before commencing their studies to ensure effective preparation for the examination.
APSC CCE Mains Exam Structure:
- Total of 8 papers in the APSC CCE Mains Exam, out of which 2 are qualifying.
- The first paper is an Essay Writing test.
- Candidates must write an essay in the language they selected during the application process.
- The essay should be on a specific topic provided in the description section.

APSC Exam Pattern 2023 Mains
After successfully passing the preliminary exam, candidates will become eligible to participate in the main exam. The main examination will encompass a significantly larger number of candidates, approximately 11-12 times more, compared to the available openings in the recruitment cycle. For the main exam, candidates will have to undergo various papers covering different subjects.
